The Grief Education Institute offers healthcare professionals, educators and clergy the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills that will strengthen their ability to assist children and families grieving the loss of a loved one. The Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas’ philosophy is that each person’s journey through grief is unique and that no child should have to walk through this painful process alone.
The Institute’s experienced faculty offers an annual series of presentations and workshops. These topics range from healing through expressive arts to the physiological impact that accompanies complicated grief. CEU’s are provided for mental health professionals and clergy.
The Grief Education Institute of the Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas also offers consultation opportunities to enhance trainings that are currently in place or in the planning phase at your organization. Center staff will work with your organization to incorporate our model of healing through expressive arts and bereavement counseling. A fee based schedule allows on site and telephone consultations. Contact the Executive Director of the Center for more information.
