Peg Armstrong, LPC, LMFT is a highly respected psychotherapist and grief expert who started her practice in 1979 and has uniquely studied with Mother Theresa, Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, Viktor Frankl and Scott Peck. Her work in Calcutta helped inform and transform her approach and led her to assist with the creation of ABODE Comfort Home and Care for the Dying. Her knowledge and strength have led to the understanding that “we must all eventually say ‘yes’ to the whole catastrophe that life can be is we are to heal and be real and alive”.
• to trace the history and development of the grief field from the 1960’s to the present from someone who ahs walked all 60 years of it;
• to understand why existential therapy is preferred to treat grief and loss as opposed to treating is as depression;
• to understand why healers must work out their own existential issues over and over to be of service to grieving clients and families;
• to discover a philosophical and theosophical way to care for ourself when overwhelmed.
