The Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas (CBCST) is much more than a place where grieving children come to heal. We change lives.  We have served thousands of grieving youth and their families and after 12 years, we remain the only provider of free, open-ended grief-support programs that specifically target the unique needs of children, teens and young adults in San Antonio and South Texas

The Power of One Gift

  • $5,000 provides 62 peer support sessions
  • $2,500 provides expressive art supplies for 25 children for one year
  • $1,200 provides one year of Peer Support Group services for a child
  • $1,000 provides grief support training for 50 elementary school teachers and counselors
  • $500 provides underwriting for five counseling sessions with a licensed professional counselor or social worker
  • $250 provides support for one “Understanding Grief” community workshop
  • $100 provides one month of Peer Support Group services or counseling support sessions for one child

How is the CBCST funded?

The CBCST and its programs are supported solely through the contributions of participating families, individuals, corporations, foundations, religious institutions and the community. We do not receive state, federal or United Way funding.

Are gifts to the CBCST tax deductible?

Yes, The Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and charitable gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent of federal tax laws.

How can I make a gift to the CBCST?

Contributions may be made by check, American Express, Discover or MasterCard. Pledge amounts may be divided into monthly installments for your convenience; and you can assist more children by pledging your gift and paying it throughout the year. Regardless of the size of your gift, all contributions enable the CBCST to enrich and expand its ongoing work.
